Rachel Priest (Helen)

Rachel is an actress and artistic director of her own company, Topsy Turvy Theatre. She has worked in both Theatre and Television for the past ten years since graduating from Edge Hill University with a BA (Hons) in Drama with Writing Studies. Recent Theatre credits include; Sandy Morris in Call Me, By The Slice Theatre Company; David/Dannie Dagnall in No Loss Joe Loss, Jelly Shoe Productions & The Lowry; Enid in Broken Biscuits, Swine Theatre; Anna in The Well, Charlotte Keatley; Jean in Three Sheets, Jelly Show Productions & The Lowry. Film credits include; Sandra in Pram, Jelly Shoe Productions (accredited by Cannes Film Festival 2010); Dek in Most Wednesdays, Jelly Shoe Productions. TV credits include; Rosie Hill in Holby City, BBC; Hazel in Hollyoaks, Lime Pictures; Robin in Coronation Street, ITV; Nurse in Emmerdale, ITV; Paramedic in Coronation Street, ITV; Jackie in Cold Blood, ITV; Nurse in Blue Murder, ITV. Bairbre Ní hAodha. (Jean)

Bairbre graduated in 2010 BA (Hons) from the Drama, Dance and Physical Theatre course at Edge Hill University. Since then she has been active in theatre in her native Ireland. Credits include Hecuba in Frank McGuinness' adaptation of the Euripides, and Joan in Time and the Conways by J.B. Priestley. She has worked as Assistant Director with Fishamble: The New Play Company on their award-winning production of Silent by Pat Kinevane. In 2011 she performed in and was Assistant Director on Laundry (ANU Productions), an exploration of the Magdalene system in Ireland, nominated for the Irish Times Theatre Awards' Best Production and Best Director.

Cellan Scott (Sinn Fein Man/Volunteer)

Cellan Scott (Sinn Fein Man/Volunteer)

Originally from Belfast, now based in Liverpool, Cellan has worked throughout the UK on a wide variety of projects over the past twenty years, both as actor and producer. Some of his more recent credits include Iago in Othello; the title role in Richard III; the title role in Macbeth and Sir Christopher Bampton in A Warning Against Idle Gossip. He was recently named Best Indie Actor 2011 by Vicky Anderson for his portrayal of Macbeth and Bampton, both produced by Trickster Theatre.


Lee Godwin (British Soldier/Arthur)

This is Lee’s professional acting debut. Lee recently graduated from Edge Hill University with a degree in Drama. Work as a student includes Heracles in Ted Hughes’ adaptation of Euripides’ Alcestis and the doctor in Wedekind’s Lulu Plays and (as director) Joe Penhall’s Some Voices in which he played Dave. He has performed in various Merseyside theatres since he was sixteen. Having grown up in Birkenhead, age 15, Lee received an award of the Mayor of Wirral for his contribution to local performing arts.This led to the title role in Macbeth at the Chester Gateway, part of a young Shakespeare competition which he went on to win. Other roles include: Spud Murphy in The Yozzers’ Stick and Book (Vesbim productions, Floral Pavillion) and the young Ringo Starr (Vesbim productions, Royal Court Liverpool).

Sarah Niven (Girl)

Sarah trained at The Oxford School of Drama. Her theatre credits include: The Diary of Anne Frank (Touring Consortium); True Forever at The Old Red Lion Theatre; Pinocchio and Alice’s Curious Adventures (Channel Theatre Company); Trojan Women (Actors of Dionysus); The Comedian (The Watermill, Newbury); The Iron Eyelashes for Imaginary Forces Theatre Co., Edinburgh, Dublin and tour and We the Undersigned at Southwark Playhouse. Television work includes: The Way We Live Now (BBC) and Naked, (Channel 4). Radio includes: The Dead House at Para (Radio 4 afternoon play). Sarah currently teaches at The BRIT School of performing Arts and technology and is joint artistic director of Imaginary Forces Theatre Company.
